Our scope includes referrals, follow-up of medical conditions, procedures such as skin biopsies, women’s health, pediatric visits, and the opportunity to learn about clinical trials. Dr. Satkirin Khalsa, MD
I am a native Californian. I lived abroad for many years before landing in New Mexico to attend New Mexico Military Institute. I am board certified in Family Medicine and have additional post-graduate training in medical acupuncture, plant-based nutrition, and yoga. I attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed my residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. I consider myself a partner in my patient’s health and well being. I offer sound medical advice and guidance in a down-to-earth and compassionate manner. I live with my husband, who is also a physician, and my new rescue dog, Sita. When not in clinic, I can be found on my yoga mat, out in the garden, or exploring the beautiful outdoors, here in The Land of Enchantment.

Maya Lessen, FNP/C
Mrs. Lessen is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Monmouth University in New Jersey. Prior to family practice, Mrs. Lessen has worked extensively in Emergency Medicine. Mrs. Lessen values treating patients holistically as people, with respect and dignity. She is passionate about assisting patients with promotion of healthy lifestyles and preventing diseases. Mrs. Lessen enjoys spending time with her husband and son, practicing and teaching yoga, engaging in multiple forms of exercise, outdoor activities, and is passionate about nutrition.

Meghan Parry, FNP/C
I have called New Mexico home for most of my life. I live on a small farm with my husband and my two daughters. I have horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, and a parrot. So when I am outside of the clinic, you can find me at home tending to the farm!I studied at The University of New Mexico, ITT Tech, and The University of St. Francis. I worked for the New Mexico Department of Health prior to and while attending my Nurse Practitioner program. I graduated from The University of St. Francis with my Masters in Nursing Education in addition to my Family Nurse Practitioner. I work in the clinic as a primary care provider, as well as teaching for the UNM VC Nursing Program. I strive to provide patient centered care while encouraging patient involvement in health decision making through education. I encourage patient participation in developing a plan of care. My goal is to help each person reach their individual health goals.
Jordan Pelock, PA-C
I was born and raised here in Albuquerque, enjoying the seasons and the sunshine. I attended the University of New Mexico for my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. I spent one semester studying abroad in Wales at the University of Swansea and then continued my education at UNM School of Medicine. I have a special place in my heart for Women’s Health and Family Medicine where I can give back and serve my community. Dawn Fithen, FNP/C
Dawn Fithen’s nursing career has spanned more than 25 years. She has been a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for 9 years in New Mexico and Texas. Dawn was drawn to helping people in her role as a police dispatcher/911 operator for the Albuquerque Police Department in the 1990’s. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing in Texas in 2013, and her BSN from UNM from 1994-2000, both with honors. Dawn was the Clinical Rehab Coordinator for the Heart Hospital of Northwest Texas Healthcare for 6 years, and was featured in 4 local advertising commercials promoting the sole certified cardiac rehab program in the panhandle that she developed and managed. She also served as RN staff for Cardiology and Critical Care. Dawn’s clinical expertise is vast and includes critical care, urgent care, sub-acute care, family planning, women’s and children’s, pediatric, geriatric, Veterans facilities, long term care facilities, rehab, and cardiac rehab.
Dawn has received many accolades for her service. She was nominated for Nurse of the Year in Amarillo at Northwest Texas Healthcare for 2 consecutive years, and she was awarded the Nurse of the Year award in Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2019. She has been a preceptor for many students during her NP tenure, and earned an honorary preceptor award by several colleges. She was also a nursing instructor at Amarillo College for medical/surgical and women’s health.Dawn is recently engaged to be married to the love of her life that she met in her sophomore year in high school, and she now has 2 bonus children, and 2 bonus grandchildren.

Candace Percifull, CNP
Candace is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, who received her degree from Arkansas State. She has lived in Albuquerque for 10 years with her family and two dogs, Duke and Lady. Candace attends Isotopes games as much as she can and plays for a local bowling league. Her number 1 priority is to make sure her patients are getting the best care that she can possibly provide while making it a relaxed and easy environment for everyone involved.
